My wife is reporting fault codes on our kenmore he3t manual Elite HE3T washer. Our Kenmore Elite HE3T 110.42922200 has that "takes forever to drain before high speed spin" problem. It does eventually complete the cycle but research here seems to indicate that the drain pump is failing. The pump is also makes much more noise than before so I assume I need Part Number: AP3953640. I forgot to ask, is there a stack kit for the washer and dryer? I have them on the pedestals but I'm considering stacking the dryer on top of the washer, or is this not a good idea?. I'm not sure if there's a stack kit available or not, Sears would know, if you go to you local Sears store they can tell you. I cant access the owners manual on the sears website either. i read another post about a belt but how to access that?. The only answer to the first person's similar problem only mentioned how to identify error codes. It sounds nice and smooth, but that's because there is nothing inside. I'm just spinning tires on service mode. In actuality, this washer is a piece of crap. Its loud as hell and vibrates like a mofo. Leave anything on the top and it will fall off. Service manual says there's an accelerometer in the control board, which monitors vibration. Due to the design, there is nothing it can do to actually correct the balance other than tumbling back and forth to redistribute clothes, but you can get so close. I've never got it to spin as it does in service mode in real use. It appears that the accelerometer feedback limits the maximum RPM for the good. You'll never get a balance as good as empty drum and if it hit the RPM shown here, the drum will probably bang into the cabinet and the whole thing will walk around. The drum itself has a big pulley on the back and its belt-driven with a three phase motor operated on VSD which explains such a great degree of control over ramp rate, reversibility and RPM. The entire tub assembly hangs on damper springs on top and sits on shocks on all four corners and bounces around like a lowrider and shaking the entire laundry room. This machine is apparently known for VSD problems and the aluminum drive linkage corrosion. The linkage looks like the inside star of a Mercedes logo and fits into the matching grooves on the drum and driven in the center by the pulley. I don't expect this washer to last that long.
